Schulte commits to Missouri

Rock Bridge harrier, Evan Schulte, has elected to stay in Columbia and represent the Missouri Tigers starting in the fall. Schulte, one of five national qualifiers from the cross country season, is one of the strongest distance recruits in the state.  He competed at the state meet three of his four years at Rock Bridge.  As a sophomore he placed 20th, playing a huge part in the Bruins victory.  From there he added a pair of top five finishes as an upperclassman – 5th as a junior and 4th as a senior.  He matched his placement from the state meet at Nike Regionals, punching his ticket to Portland for NXN Nationals where he placed 60th.  He will join fellow NXN National Qualifier, Jamie Kempfer, who has also committed to the University of Missouri.  While Missouri coach Joe Lynn is known for his large recruiting classes, this is the first distance signing on the guy’s side in the Milesplit database for the Tigers – but what a big addition this is.

Best of luck to Evan Schulte on his senior track campaign as well as his future as a Missouri Tiger.
