WATCH Grant Fisher run 3:46 1500m

Grant Fisher (Grand Blanc, MI) runs US #2 3:46.15 to get 2nd and
Logan Wetzel (Saline, MI) drops an impressive US #3 3:48.67

We haven't seen much from the 4:02.02 miler since repeating his national title win at New Balance Nationals Indoor, where he arguably could have broken 4:00 in the mile before hitting stepping on the rail and nearly losing his balance before regroup himself and trotting the last 50m in for a 4:03.54.

No rail issues in his 1,500m outdoor debut as Grant Fisher runs 3:46.15 (about a low 4:03 full mile equivalent). He wasn't able to get the win as Poland native and former Eastern Michigan University runner Grzegorz Kalinowski crossed the line in 3:44.50.

Logan Wetzel, who had the second fastest mile time (4:08.75) from this past indoor season behind Fisher's 4:03.54, placed 5th in the race.

Fisher's splits: 46.86 (300m) - 59.94 1:00.68 - 58:67
Wetzel's splits: 47.33 (300m) - 1:00.19 - 1:01.00 - 1:00.14

Watch Belf and Kettel both go sub 16:45 in the 5k

Also, Audrey Belf (Birmingham Seaholm, MI) runs a 16:29.68 5k at the same meet with Sarah Kettel (Capital Homeschool, MI) going 16:41.25.

For some perspective, Ryen Frazier's 16:12.81 5k that she ran at New Balance Nationals Indoor in mid March, is the 10th fastest 5k from a high school girl regardless of the race being held indoors or outdoors.
