Congrats to the 2016-2017 Class of the MTCCCA Hall of Fame

From Dean Hays-

Janice Borey of Worth County, Patty Varva of Missouri Southern, Joe Gleich of Priory and athletes Olympian Christian Cantwell of Eldon and state meet HJ record holder Bill Jasinski of Springfield Parkview.

Varva, with years at Cathage HS and Gleich have almost 80 years of successful coaching experience.

Most of you may not know Borey, but in 90 years of MSHSAA track only six have been head coach of more state champion teams than her 6 titles: Rod Staggs of Berkeley with 15, Henry Schemmer of University City from the 30s through the 60s with 14, Dennis Licklider of Jeff City with 9, Harvey Greer of KC Central in the 60s and 70s with 8, Del Stoltenberg of Rock Port and JH Collins of Springfield Greenwood in the 30s and 40s with 7 each.

Jasinski later was a three-time All-American and Olympic trials participant.
