District 1 - Jackson City Park
A flat, looping course with some marginal elevation change, for some reason Jackson City Park is not consistently fast, but it has been known to produce some quick times on a good weather day. Jackson hosted their conference meet on this course last week and though it was not the fastest for some who have gone faster this year, the competition level that Saturday will bring could be helpful. As you can see by the map, there are many turns and the slight elevation changes - as well as drainage ditch crossing - could do a number on athletes as they struggle to find a true rhythm that they may find elsewhere. Regardless, with Ean Buffington and Abigail Juedemann in attendance, athletes who have gone under 16:00 and 19:00 respectively this season, we could be in for a treat out of District 1 this season.
