Pre-Season Rankings: Class 4 Long Jump

6. Tamia Thomas, Junior

Raytown South

PR: 17-6.75

Tamia did the inverse of Liebman, placing 10th in the Triple Jump and earning a State Medal with a 7th place finish in Long Jump. Considering she jumped 17-6 two week in a row leading up to State, and only jumped 16-5 at State, there is real room for her to move up the Medal Stand in 2018.

5. McKenzie Pearson, Junior

Center (Kansas City)

PR: 17-11.5

Last year McKenzie had her worst (still good) jump of the year at Sectionals with a jump of 16-7. However, she broke 17 feet every time before that so I'd say its a safe bet that she'll be back above 17 and heading to the State Meet come Spring.
