6. Makenzie Williams - East Prairie, SO

Williams only recorded three marks in our database, but they just so happened to be championships at District 1 and Sectional 1 and an 8th place heave in Class 3. It just so happened that Williams did not appear in any meets until then in any event, but still made it to state in both the shot put and discus, so Williams could be ready to make a huge leap in 2018 and we would not be shocked to see her in the top 5 or higher as a result of her raw talent.
5. Hailey Clifton - Eldon, JR
PR - 40-2
Clifton has a little more experience than Williams and finished a spot ahead of her on the podium in 2017. She launched a 40-2 put in District 5 to take home the meet championship, snagged 3rd at Sectional 3, and then finished 7th for her first all-state medal. She now has experience in two events at the state meet and enters her junior year with a top 5 finish on her horizon.
