PR - 2:28.89
After turning in a 2:28.89 mid-season, and then winning District 7 and taking 2nd in Sectional 4, O'Neal hit a snag at state and wound up 16th. Fast forward to 2018 and the multiple time all-stater is in a solid position to grab a medal in the 800 after having earned one in the 1600, one in the 3200, and one in cross country.
7. Rylee Kempker - Eugene, SO
PR - 2:29.45
Two 5ths in Sectional 2 kept Kempker away from the state track meet last spring, but she should not be away for too much longer. She returns for her sophomore campaign with impressive mid distance bests of 2:29.45 in the 800 and 5:43.79 in the 1600 and will be one to watch for moving forward.
