6. Kendall Runzi - Jefferson R-VII, JR

Runzi has some talented teammates, but is a talented middle distance runner in her own right. She plays volleyball instead of runs cross country in the fall, but that doesn't mean she doesn't know what it is like to run at state. In fact, she has made two trips in her short career and should be ready to make it three. She should help Jefferson get to the podium in the 4x8, too, as they are a deep team at the moment.
5. Grace Parrott - Sherwood, SO
PR - 2:28.89
All she did was run 4 800s last season, but Parrott is still a top 5 talent in the Class 2 800 heading into 2018. Her 2:28.89 was 12 seconds better than her first recorded time and she will look to parlay that success into a state medal this spring. She was 10th last year.
