Athletes to Watch:

Jameson Williams (Cardinal Ritter)

I had the opportunity to watch Williams run this weekend at Lutheran South, and all I can say is WOW. He ran a US #20 400m with a time of 47.23. Historically he has done the 300H, but I have a feeling those days are behind him. In addition to his 400, he is also ranked 1st in Class 3 in the 100 & 200 with a 10.62 and 21.23.

Brandon Miller (John Burroughs)

I also was able to watch Brandon Miller cruise to a victory in the 1600 Saturday with a Class 3 leading time of 4:23.77. He hasn't normally ran the 1600 in the past, but he may be looking to do so this year. Oh and the only time he ran the 800 this year he ran a US #19 1:52.61 so he's pretty good at that too.

Rasheed Ricketts (Cardinal Ritter)

Ricketts currently leads Class 3 in Triple Jump with a 45-5, and is 5th in Long Jump with a 21-9.5. He won't have any problems getting out of Districts, but he's always fun to watch.

GIRLS

Projected Team Scores: 1. John Burroughs (225) 2. Cardinal Ritter (164) 3. Principia (65)

Athletes to Watch:

Kylie Goldfarb (John Burroughs)

The Burroughs Freshman has been DOMINATING Class 3 this year. She is ranked 1st in the 800 and 1600 and 2nd in the 400. That's not a very common event combo, but I'm very curious to see if she'll battle for a State Championship in all 3.

Busiwa Asinga (Principia)

Busiwa comes into this week ranked 1st in the Class 3 200 & 300H and is 2nd in the Class 3 100 by .01. She'll even be racing her biggest State Challenger Madison Fuller in both races. Should be really fun to watch.

Madison Fuller (John Burroughs)

Fuller comes into Disricts ranked 1st in the Class 3 100, and is 3rd in the 200. She'll get to match up with Busiwa Asinga in a state preview this week as well, and it should be an exciting two races.
