Antonio Norman (Cleveland NJROTC)

Q:  What was your most memorable race/moment?
A: When I ran a 36.83 at the Kentucky meet we were invited to.

Q: Who would you consider your biggest competition over your four years?
A: My biggest competition over my four years would have to be everyone I competed against, because I never under estimate anyone because anything can happen at any given moment.

Q: What was your greatest accomplishment?
A: Becoming a 3x 300MH State champ and back-to-back team State Champs because it hasn't happened in years in the PHL.

Q: If you could do it all over again what would you change about your running career in high school?
A: I would give 150 percent at everything I do, because hard work actually pays off and I realized that too late.

Q: What were the most difficult obstacles you had to overcome?
A: Coming back from an injury because you have to train to get back into tip top shape and begin your track career behind your competitors.

Q: What will you miss the most?
A: I will miss the times I had with my teammates at practice, and all the hard work we put in on the track together.

Q: What advice would you give to younger athletes?
A: Stay consistent with your work ethic and give 110% at everything you do because it will pay off.

Q: What influence has your coach had with respect to your performance and overall life goals?
A: My coaches were big influences because they told me what I was capable of, but I didn't believe them until I actually did what they said I could. Now I know that I can actually accomplish whatever I put my mind to.

Q: What are your college plans?
A: I will be attending Lindenwood University on a full track scholarship.

Q: Who would you like to say 'thank you' to?
A: I would like to say thank you to my parents first and foremost because I appreciate all the time and money they spent and put into me. I would like to thank all my coaches from indoor to spring to summer track for all the things they've done for me. I would like to thank my wrestling coaches for giving me the discipline I needed in order to successfully become a champ and stay humble.

Q: Is there anything else you'd like to add?
A: I would like to thank god for giving me these tremendous abilities and helping me overcome obstacles that I thought would never overcome.

Q:  What was the funniest thing that happened during your running career?
A: The funniest thing that happened to me would have to be when I missed the high jump mat and fell on the ground.
