Emily Sisson joins Missouri MileSplit championship coverage

 

Sisson joins Missouri MileSplit’s championship coverage.

 

Missouri’s 2009 Class 4 Champion in the 1600 & 3200 meters, Emily Sisson will be joining Missouri MileSplit's coverage of the 2010 MSHAA Track and Field Championship for Class 3 &4.

 

Sisson, a senior at Parkway Central High School recently decided to forgo her 2010 MSHAA eligibility to compete in national meets in addition to representing Team USA at the 2010 World Cross Country Championship in Poland earlier this year.  Emily’s distinguished high school career includes winning multiple track and cross country state championships in Nebraska and Missouri as well as the 2009 Nike Outdoor Championship in the 5000 meters.

 

At the 2010 meet Emily will be blogging her thoughts on the day’s events, conducting video interviews with the athletes and filming a daily recap.  “While I will miss the opportunity to compete this year, I’m really looking forward to participating in the event as an informed, interested commentator,” Emily commented. Missouri MileSplit Webmaster Paul Everett is thrilled to have Emily on the MileSplit team.  “Emily is a great ambassador of our sport and will bring valuable insight to our coverage.  I believe our audience will enjoy Emily’s coverage as much as we enjoy watching her compete.”
