Aaron Mallet

Looking at Aaron's scheduled meets it doesnt look like we will get to see him and Zeke Elliott race this season. Huge disappointment as a hurdle fan. I really think we would see a legit sub 14 if this race does happen. But Clayton is the only meet they are both schedule to compete at and that in different divisions.

    Oh well, happy hurdling.

Doesnt seem as McCluer North is competing at Clayton this season. Both are Juniors so hopefully they meet next year sometime. I do thiknk Zeke is slightly faster over the 110s, but Mallet is far superior in the 300s.

Not any more. Aaron Mallett Just went 13.88 at the Junior Nationals in Bloomington, IN. He has been hand timed in practice at 13.5 when he gets a good start. Right now his start is suspect and he usually comes from behind to win.

He ran a great race in the prelims. His finals race not so much. I expect him to go sub 14 and sub 37 in next years state meet. Very fluid hurdler. Still want to see him and Zeke go at it next year

He caught a cramp in his left leg at hurdle 4. That is usually where he starts picking up speed. He was on the ground after the race. He has had a pain in his hammy since indoor and we thought he finally did some damage to it. We were pretty relieved when he told us he just had a cramp.

He won't run much more this year as we would like the hammy to finally have a chance to heal. It usually only bothers him when he really opens up in the 300's or 400's. He's spent a lot of time in the pool for cardio and very little track work in the last week. He took a couple weeks off after state and had only one good week of practice before the meet.

He will be running at the USATF association meet on Saturday. If Ezekiel is there we will see a great race. Sad to not have Chris Caldwell there, good kid and great competitor. Hope he heals quickly.
