High School sophomore Stephanie Jenks from Aurora, Iowa had a great day at the 2014 Mizzou Big River Running High School Indoor Track and Field Series Championship, Saturday, February 22 at the Hearnes Fieldhouse in Columbia, Missouri. Jenks swept the mile in 4:58, the 800 in 2:19, and the 3200m in 10:47. The star multi-sport star swam with her high school swim team at Linn-Mar HS during the fall while running several open cross country races before qualifying and finishing 9th at the 2013 Foot Locker Cross Country National Championships. Before that, Jenks qualified and competed in the 2013 ITA World Junior Triathlon Championships. Jenks took a spill on her bike, and managed to place 47th in London. In a great race that included three of the top underclassmen in the country last May, the freshman Jenks edged Eureka sophomore Hannah Long and Ste. Genevieve freshman Taylor Werner at the 2013 Festival of Miles High School mile: 4:47-4:48-4:49.
