Eureka High School (Eureka, Mo) senior star Hannah Long opened the 2015 track season almost exactly as she did the 2014 season. She blasted some of the fastest times in the country at the Festus Early Bird Track and Field Invitational in Festus, Saturday, March 28, 2015. Long took off from the start line and never looked back in the 1600-meters, finishing in 4:45.67. 17/100ths of a second faster than what she ran at the meet last year. Long returned to the track for the 800-meters. Long again blew away the field and finished in 2:11.36, 2/100ths of a second faster than in 2014.Long capped the meet with a 58.5 split in the 4x400 to help the Lady Wildcats to fourth place finish.
