What was you most memorable meet or race?
State XC meet in 2012, because we shocked everybody and won the state meet when we weren't supposed to even make it out of districts.
Who was your biggest competition?
Biggest competition was defiantly the St.Gen boys and the Warrensburg boys they definitely know how to race. Also Drake Smelser from Herculeanem was my biggest rival!
Out of all your high school accomplishments, which stands out the most?
Winning the team state title for Xc my freshman and senior year.
If you could do it all over again is there anything you would change?
One thing I would change is I would train way harder than I did.
What were the most difficult obstacles you had to overcome?
Most difficult obstacles I had to overcome was probably trying to make a name for myself coming from a team that had Cole Allison, Drew White, and Shane Brown on it.
What will you miss the most?
I will miss racing against my friends from other teams and of course my team mates the most and racing at state.
Do you have any advice for younger athletes?
Always do the extra stuff and don't be afraid to test your limits. You don't really know what you can accomplish until you push your boundaries!
What are your college plans?
My college plans- to go to Neosho Community College for 2 years and then transfer to a 4 year university like SBU or MSSU.
Who would you like to thank?
I would like to thank Coach Wright for everything he has done for me as well as Coach White. I would also like to thank the members of the teams I have been on these past 4 years for teaching me how to train and run, your knowledge has helped me grow to be as successful as I am today. I also would like to thank you guys for all the fun times that we had. I will miss you guys very much. I would like to thank the school administrators for allowing me to get away with a lot more than I should have. lol. I would finally like to thank Andrew Whitener, Tyler Gilliam, and Micheal Karls for pushing me on a daily basis and keeping me on my toes.
