The Program

Program Size:

Each year our cross country teams have approximately 12-15 members each for Men and Women, while our Track and Field Teams have between 25-35 athletes each.

What type of student-athlete does your program recruit?

We look for individuals that are very motivated both as students and as athletes. To obtain scholarships to Maryville you must have a 22 ACT and 3.0 GPA.

What are some recent accomplishments of the program or individuals in the program?

Between men’s and women’s cross country, indoor and outdoor track over 100 school records have been broken and rebroken since I took over the program in 2008. 2012-2013 saw the most successful year in the history of the women’s programs. The women placed 4th in the GLVC with 6 of the top 7 being underclassmen and Sam Hartnett being named freshman of the year for cross country. In track and field, the women scored the highest point total in school history at the conference championships led by Elizabeth Kiblinger placing 2nd in the 10,000m and 8th in the 5000m runs.
