The boys 100m promises to be a good one with returning champ, Michael Wells, entered. Wells has won the 2A Boys 100m for the past three years now. He hopes to improve on his PR of 10.43 which he set at the Festival of Miles a year ago. Challenging him will be a number of other top runners from the state including 3A State Champ, John Moten. Moten, a John Burroughs junior, ran a time faster than the Class 3 Record, but because the wind was just over the allowable limit, he will have to wait till next year. They will be joined by a finalist from Illinois, Terry McGee, who comes in having run 10.84.
The 100m will have a different feel to it this year. There will be a prelim to lead the day off. The final will be contested right before the boys high school mile.
