The start of the girls seeded race with some of the top runners in the country out front (Itai Epstein)

MEET INDEX

Saturday November 28th was supposed to be a smooth transition of cross country to the heads of state in track & field... little did we know, it was quite a long morning stretched into the afternoon that felt like a marathon of coverage amid cold climes that featured wind, snow flurries, and other nasty elements associated with late November cross country weather. The Midwest Footlocker Cross Country Regional hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Parkside ended with some spectacular performances.

Taylor Werner (Sr., Ste. Genevieve, MO) and Jon Davis (Sr., Oakwood, IL) may have had redemption on their minds prior to lining up for their races. But you would have never known it as they methodically went to work against the competition. Both outstanding runners respectively won the girls and boys individual titles respectively in 16:57.3 and 14:57.
