Forest Park XC Festival

Okay, so you can go ahead and just assume we're going to be on site for this meet. Quite probably the biggest cross country meet in the entire Midwest, the Forest Park XC Festival does not appear to have lost any attention from local teams or from teams around the Midwest. Illinois, Arkansas, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Wisconsin will all also be represented here. In the past, this has been the premier meet in the area because of the Central Fields course. Recently, the course had to change to the Aviation Field and it appears that that has not stopped the good times from rolling at FPXC Fest. Last year, a week's worth of rain doused the course and made it a muddy mess that was compounded as the morning moved to noon and the sun came out to warm the parts of the course that were no longer any semblance of anything except mud. Times were slow and were often thrown out as a result. But, this year appears to be a complete 180 in terms of weather. The forecast calls for sunshine and 70s all week and we appear to be in for a treat at this year's meet. We will be producing a pre-meet Watch List with predictions for each division on Friday as the divisions have not yet been determined. Until then, feel free to make a virtual meet with the 135 teams that have been confirmed already. We will have finish line video, interviews with high finishers, lead cart video for the Green Division races, coverage on Snapchat and Instagram stories, an exorbitant amount of pictures, and much more as we move toward this exciting meet!
