Pre-Season Rankings: Class 2 3200m

Girls

8. Maycee Edgar - Marceline, JR

PR - 13:01.95

So begins a list that contains not one single senior. First up is Marceline junior Maycee Edgar who returns with a 13:01.95 personal best in the 3200 and 6:09 1600. Edgar does not get a chance to prove herself on the cross country course, but has already proven her distance running prowess in a smaller sample size than some others. Edgar grabs the #8 spot on our list as a result and should be a strong pick to snag her first medal this spring.

7. Cheney Ervin - Jefferson R-VII, SO

PR - 13:01.68

Ervin is an important part of a strong Jefferson R-VII squad that could potentially put together a deadly 4x800 squad with the Heacock twins and one more solid 800 leg. Ervin returns with her own impressive 3200 personal best of 13:01.68 and turned her freshman track campaign into a 19th place finish on the cross country course. Ervin will be a solid pick for a top 8 spot this spring in the 3200 and could make a push in the 1600 potentially, too.
