1. Makayla Kelby (Lee's Summit West)
It was a huge weekend for the Lee's Summit West Girls at Arcadia, but the highlight of the meet was Makayla Kelby throwing discus. She is now the State Record Holder with a monster throw of 168-6. The record was previously set in 2001 and held by Amarachi Ukabam of Marquette. That throw is currently the second farthest in the nation and is tied for 43rd All-Time in the United States for a High Schooler. She also currently leads the State in the Shot Put with a throw of 46-7. Huge congratulations though to Makayla on her new State Record.
