Top Juniors to Watch in Class 1

Boys

Braeden Decker (Humansville)

Decker placed 19th last season, and will try and earn another State Medal this season. His 17:19 PR is the seventh fastest returning time this year in Class 1, and if he can improve he'll likely climb higher on the leaderboard this year.

Preston Thomas (Princeton)

After placing 20th at State in 2017, Preston will have his sights higher in 2018. His PR of 17:50 is third best among returning juniors in Class 1. Preston showed a ton of improvement on the track this Spring, earning State Medals in the 1600m (7th) and the 3200m (6th).

Phillip Pattison (West Platte)

Phillip dropped nearly a minute off of his PR in route to a 22nd place finish, and thus a State Medal a year ago. His 17:53 PR, is the 4th fastest among returning juniors and he'll look to stay on his trend of improvement this season.
