GAC South Championships
Member schools of the GAC South will be heading out to McNair Park for their Conference Championship on Thursday. In the boys race Francis Howell is the projected winner, but it's very close with Defending Champion Ft Zumwalt West just 6 points behind them. Howell newcomer Nick Cimmarusti has been getting faster every week and is the only runner to have broken 17:00 in the GAC South with a 16:59. He could see a challenge from West's Bennett Boatman (17:16) or Cameron Sakuma (17:21) who tend to run well here.
The girls race is looking to be pretty anti-climatic, as Francis Howell looks to secure its 4th straight GAC Title, and its 8th in the last 10 years. They are projected to score 22 points with all 5 scoring runners ranked in the top 7. Zumwalt West is the closest challenger with a projected 66 points. Howell's Sarah Russom has the fastest individual time as well with a 19:42, with Francis Howell North's Mackenzie Pugh just behind her with a 19:54 .
