Class 2's 800m Runners to Watch in 2019

There are eleven returning State Qualifiers in the Class 2 Girls 800m including five medalists, one of which is the defending champion.

The Defending Champion is Cole Camp's Lainy Williams who also returns with the fastest time from last year with a 2:19.13. Williams won six of eight races at 800m, and will look to maintain such a strong record. In addition to being a State Champion 800m runner, she also was the runner up in the high jump which is a combination you don't see a lot of. She will have to fend off Kylee Lang, Grace Parrott, Allie Gibbs, and Madison Kauth who were all State Medalists last season. Below you can find my subjective rankings and honorable mentions for the Class 2 Girls 800m.
