Seven State Qualifiers return in the Class 2 Boys 800m in 2019, including one State Medalist.
The lone returning State Medalist is last year's runner up Malik Stewart of Maplewood-Richmond Heights. The 1600m State Champion also comes in with the fastest returning time in Class 2 with a 2:00, which is 4 seconds faster than the closest challenger. Stewart will look to add another State Championship to his name this Spring. Below you can find my subjective rankings and honorable mentions in the Class 2 Boys 800m.
