Class 5's Long Jumpers to Watch in 2019

There are nine jumpers returning that qualified for State last year in the Class 5 Boys Long Jump, including five State Medalists.

There's a lot of returning talent this year, and it was hard to narrow down a favorite. Lee's Summit North's Marvin Hopkins is the one who earned that role. He was the Runner Up a year ago at State, and returns with the second farthest jump from last year with a 23-2.75. His teammate Christian Carter has the farthest leap from last year with a 23-6.5, and last years 4th place finisher Vonzell Kelley who has gone over 23 feet as well could challenge for the top spot on the podium. Below you can find my subjective rankings and honorable mentions in the Class 5 Boys Long Jump.
