Class 5's Shot Put Throwers to Watch in 2019

There are twelve returning State Qualifiers in the Class 5 Girls Shot Put, including five returning State Medalists.

The top returner from last year is Kickapoo's Kennedy Aurentz. She finished last year as the runner up, and will look to climb to the top of the podium in 2019. He has the farthest returning throw in Class 5 as well with a 45-7.5, which is nearly three feet farther than second place. She won every meet last year in which she didn't have to match up with State Champion Makayla Kelby, and will be a favorite this year to win them all. Below you can find my subjective rankings and honorable mentions for the Class 5 Girls Shot Put.
