Classes 3-5's Pole Vaulters to Watch in 2019

Class 4

Carly Pujol will look to defend her State Championship this year in the Class 4 Girls Pole Vault. Her vault at State last year of 12-6 is over a foot farther than the closest challenger, so she is in prime position to finish atop toe podium again in 2019.

The Class 4 Boys has a lot of possible outcomes. Nolan Bone was the highest finisher at State in Class 4 with a second place finish and is tied for first with Harrison Huhn for the highest returning vault with a 14-6. However, Seger Nelson of Kirksville who didn't compete last year until summer, has vaulted 16-0 several times. If Nelson returns this season he will surely be the favorite to win a State title.
