Alicia Burnett Wins 4 State Titles; Breaks All-Class 100m Record

After sitting out last spring, Alicia Burnett reminded everyone just how good she is as she returned to the Class 4 State Championships on Saturday. She won the 100m with a new All-Class State Meet record of 11.58 which is the 27th fastest time in the nation this year. She also won the 200m with a time of 23.83. She also ran on Parkway North's State Championship 4x100m and 4x400m teams on Saturday to bring home four gold medals.





Kaesha George Breaks Class 4 Javelin Record

Monett's Kaesha George broke the Class 4 Javelin record on Saturday in Washington. Her record breaking throw of 151-6 also currently sits as the fourteenth best javelin throw in the United State this season. 




Riley Burger Sweeps Horizontal Jumps

Notre Dame's Riley Burger has been a force in the jumps all season, and she captured two State Titles on Saturday. She won the triple jump with a leap of 39-10, and had a massive PR to win the long jump with a jump of 19-7.5. She also earned a State Medal in the High Jump with a forth place finish on Saturday.

Parkway North Wins Class 4 Team Title

The Parkway North Girls Captured the 2019 Class 4 State Championship, scoring 73 team points. Alicia Burnett led the way with victories in both the 100m & 200m, and along with teammates Diamond Wilson-Boyd, Diamond Sullivan, Evie Marshall and Reina McMillan won the 4x200m and 4x400m. Mcmillian also took third in the 800m, and she along with teammates Safiya Ratliff, Madeleine Ryan, and Tabitha Bevan also took third in the 4x800m. Ratliff picked up picked up a second place medal in the 1600m and also took third in the 3200m. Rylea Smith also took forth place in the javelin to round out the scoring for the Vikings.
