District 6
The Class 4 District 6 meet will take place at Raymore-Peculiar High School in Peculiar, MO. This course is pretty fair course with a unique creek crossing (at least thats the video I saw) and should run well.
The Boys race looks to be a lot of fun, with No. 8 Raymore-Peculiar squaring up against No. 10 Rockhurst. These team matched up once earlier this year at Gans Creek where Ray-Pec placed 8th to Rockhurst's 12th. Ray-Pec has looked really strong as of late, recently winning the KC Suburban Gold Conference Championships with a 16:32 average and a 1-5 split of only 44 seconds. Webb City and Lee's Summit West will be the other teams looking to advance to the Sectional Meet from this District.

In the individual race we might be seeing a State preview, with Braden Zaner (Raymore-Peculiar) dueling with Wesley Porter (Rockhurst). Zaner has the fastest time coming into the meet with a 15:38, but Porter is just behind him with a 15:40. Porter has not lost a race all season, and beat Zaner head to head at Gans Creek so I don't think its a big jump to say Porter is the favorite.
Class 4 No. 1 Lee's Summit West will be the heaviest of heavy favorites on the girls side. According to season best times, they hold the 1,2,3,4,7,8, and 10th fastest times ran in this district. The race for second place though could be very interesting as St. Teresa's and Ray-Pec are tied in the virtual meet with Webb City just 5 points behind them.
As already stated Lee's Summit West has the top four times in the district with Madison Hulsey (Lee's Summit West) has the best time at 18:29, followed by Hailey Baldwin (Lee's Summit West) at 18:57, then McKenna Butler (Lee's Summit West) at 19:07, and Makayla Clark (Lee's Summit West) at 19:08.
