Team Race
The team race looks to be a two way race between Blue Eye and Van Buren. Both schools cruised to District Titles last weekend, with Blue winning District 6 with 18 points, and Van Buren winning District 1 with 23 points. When based on season bests Blue Eye has the advantage in the virtual meet with a 67-106 advantage. North Platte, Lutheran (Kansas City), St. Joseph Christian, Marion County, and Ellington all also are realistically the race to bring home one of four State Trophies as well.
Individual Race
The sisters from Blue Eye are heavy favorites to finish 1-2 in Class 1. Riley Arnold has the fastest time in Class 1 this season with an 18:33, which is 24 seconds faster than the next best time which belongs to her sister Avery Arnold at 18:57. The next runner is nearly a minute behind them, and I don't think we are going to see an upset in this one.
