Tyra Wilson (Rock Bridge)
Wilson avoided the fabled sophomore slump last season, and in fact had an absolutely stellar season. She walked with the Class 5 State titles in the 100H, 300H, Triple jump, and was the runner up in the 200m. She wasn't done there however as she went to break the State record in the 100H with a 13.39 at the USATF U20 Outdoor Championships, which was the forth fastest time in the United States last year. She also brought home forth place in the 400H with a time of 58.33. At the Great Southwest Classic she ran 40.79, which is also the fastest time in state history, and was the second fastest time in the nation last year.
Alicia Burnett (Parkway North)
After sitting our her sophomore season, Burnett roared back last season. She won the Class 4 State title in both the 100m and 200m, and helped Parkway North to State titles in both the 4x200m and 4x400m relay. She currently has the second fastest time in State history in the 100m at 11.47 and the second fastest time in the 200m as well with a 23.30. She'll look to finish her stellar prep career with a run at the State records before she heads off to run at Texas A&M next year.
Madison Hulsey (Lee's Summit West)
The Lee's Summit West Senior has already had a career filled with medals and trophies, and will look to cap it off with her first individual State title this Spring. She'll have the opportunity in any of the distance races she chooses to run, as she has the fastest returning 800m (2:12) and 1600m (5:01), and holds a 3200m PR of 11:04 which would also be the fastest returning time this season.
Carolyn Ford (Rock Bridge)
Normally we don't include incoming freshman on these lists, but we'll make an exception for the 2019 Class 4 XC State Champion Carolyn Ford. She burst on to the scene this season, and holds a 5K PR of 18:08. I imagine she'll have a lot of success on the track too. As an 8th grader she ran 2:26 in the 800m and 5:25 in the 1600m, but I imagine she'll be much faster with more competition. I'd also say the 3200m is probably calling her name as well, so don't be surprised to see her competing for a State title there.

Riley Burger (Notre Dame - Cape Girardeau)
The recent Louisville commit will look to build upon a season which saw her finish as one of the top jumpers in the nation. Her 41-3 triple jump was the second farthest jump in State history and was the 17th farthest jump in the United States last season. In Long Jump, her leap of 19-7.5 was the fifth farthest jump in State history, and the 50th farthest jump in the United States last season.
Courtney Williams (Nerinx Hall)
Last season Williams won her second straight title in the 400m, and was the runner up in the 100m and was third 200m at the Class 5 State Meet. Her 54.87 400m is the fastest returning time in the State this year, and her 23.89 200m sits as the second fastest returning time in the State. She'll look to shoot for more State titles here in her final season before heading off to Clemson next year.
