North Central Girls Discuss 2019 Championship and More

Four of North Central's top sprinters, sat down with myself to discuss the insanely successful 2019 season, their hopes for the 2020 season before the cancellation as well as what the future may look like for themselves.

The girls at North Central were looking to be set up for a repeat of the 2019 state meet, winning another title. The team also looked at the potential of breaking records after just narrowly missing the 4x100 record and the potential to rebreak the 4x400 record they set one year ago.

With underclassmen stepping up to fill in the missing void of Alyssa Robinson's graduation, this team would have likely spent a good part of the season deciding and figuring out a 4th to race in either the 4x100 or the 4x400. Maddox looked to be the athlete to step in on the 4x400, but one more would have been need in the 4x100.

Now 2021 will be a year that even more underclassmen will be looked towards for more improvements and to step into the holes that will be left with the graduation of the class of 2020. North Central may not be able to do in 2021 what they could've done this year, but without a doubt they will still be a team to watch out for.
