White Division

St. Charles dominant, score just 42 points for title

The St. Charles Pirates rolled to a dominating victory in the first varsity boys race of the day. The Class 4 squad were the leaders throughout with a score of 31 points at the mile, 35 points at 2-miles, and finished with just 42 points. St. Charles had 8 runners earn Top-30 medals, with finishers at places 4-5-7-8-18-20-29-30 in a field of 165 finishers.

The Pirates were led by Luke Nottmeyer, Jack Case, James Warner, and Elijah Case, as the quartet placed 4-5-7-8 with just a 11.2-second split between them. Nottmeyer was the top finisher in 4th at 18:19.8.



O'Fallon Christian's Hardwicke runs to title

O' Fallon Christian senior Ronan Hardwicke was in control the whole race and earned the individual title, finishing in 17:52. Hardwicke posted mile and 2-miles splits of 5:20 and 11:10, giving him 13 and 21-second leads before a final margin of 17-seconds. Pekin (Iowa) sophomore Brady McWhirter was 2nd in 18:10 while MICDS junior Liam McCarthy was 3rd in 18:16.


St. Clair had four medalists, including sophomore Zechariah Slater in 10th, to lead the Bulldogs to the 2nd-place in the team standings with 127 points in a field of 22 scoring teams.


Class 1 Oak Ridge takes 3rd

Class 1's Oak Ridge had a great day. The Blue Jays from southeast Missouri took 3rd and scored 184 points in a field of mostly Class 4 and Class 3 teams. Oak Ridge edged Perryville by 3 points and had one medalist, junior Brock Hobeck in 23rd. Coach Kristi Seyer is getting some help this fall. St. Louis native, Southeast Missouri State University alum, longtime Hickman coach and Missouri Track and Cross Country Coaches Association Hall of Famer Steve Kissane has moved to the area and is assisting Seyer.
