It's still a few weeks until the first races of the 2010 XC season but MileSplit.us has been busy creating new features for you to enjoy the season.
I'm pretty excited about a new feature still in beta, the ability to compare athletes head to head. First let's take a look at how it looks and then I'll provide step by step instructions for you to create your own comparison.

Now lets create your own comparison. First you need to know the two athlete numbers that you want to compare. You can find the numbers by searching the MoMileSplit site. In the upper right had corner under the Universal Sports logo you will see a search box. Type the athletes name and then click on the link in the search results. You should then see a profile like this:

The athlete number in this case is 116178 Once you have your two athlete numbers the format to create the comparison is easy:

Athletes please claim your profile and upload a photo. In the example above Chelsey has done a great job of providing additional content to her own profile.
This feature is still in beta so for now it only offers the ability to compare two athletes but i anticipate additional improvements this season.
The meet pages also have some exciting new features. Lets take a look at a few by going to the 1st Capitol Meet Page:

We are in the process of adding Google Maps for the locations of the meets. If you click on the location, in this case McNair Park you will have the ability to get directions via Google Maps.

In the lower right corner of the Meet Page you will see Meet History. By clicking on the Overall records you will see a list of all the records in the MileSplit database for that meet:
