POLL: Girls Performer of the Week (3/23-3/28)

The 2026 Missouri Track and Field Season is upon us and stellar performances are already flooding our rankings database. With a full slate of meets from Monday through Saturday, the true Week 1's results have left us expecting this to be one of the best seasons of track and field we have ever seen.

Each Monday this season, we will be running a poll with five candidates for Performer of the Week that was, highlighting five athletes from around the state who did something amazing in the last seven days. Vote for who you think deserves the honor!

Polls open at 7:00am on Monday and remain open until 5:00pm on Friday. The athlete who wins will move to our end-of-the-season "Performer of the Year" poll and will not be nominated again for the weekly poll for the rest of the season. Athletes who were nominated and do not win will not be eligible to be nominated for one full week.

Congratulations to our recent poll winners:

Week Zero (3/19-3/21): Amari Morrison - Liberty

--

Here are this week's nominees:

Brooke Samuelson - Eureka

Samuelson pulled off an impressive double at the McCullough-Douglass Invitational, running MO No. 2 10:51.19 to win the Elite 3200, then coming back later in the day to run a MO No. 2 58.16 in the 400 meter dash. The Eureka senior showed off her impressive range in winning both events and leading the state in both events this past week.

Samantha Dowd - McDonald County

Dowd was the only Missourian this week with a mark under 12 seconds in the 100 (11.95) and one of only two under 25 seconds in the 200 (24.85). She won both events at her home meet - the Ebenee Munoz Memorial Stampede - and seems to be in late-season form already in March.

Isla Alfultis - Helias Catholic

Alfultis led her squad to victory at the McCullough-Douglass Invitational Saturday, helping them notch their first major win on their way to a showdown in Class 5 later in May. She finished second in the 100m hurdles in a new personal best and school record of 14.71, first in the 300m hurdles in a MO No. 2 mark of 44.48, and third in the 100 meter dash in 12.30. In fact, this was only her second time over the 100m hurdles in her career, the first coming on Monday when she debuted at 15.05. She also ran 12.08 for 100 meters and 25.61 for 200 meters on Monday.

Moriah Tucker - Raymore-Peculiar

Tucker had a breakthrough week last week with personal bests in the 100, 200, and long jump. The 5.55m (18-2.5) mark she posted at the Bob Thorpe Invitational on Friday was the longest jump of anyone in the state. She also ran 12.21 (+3.0) in the 100 and 26.07 in the 200 earlier in the week at the SCA Quint

Rylan Roberts - Fayette

No sophomore slump for Fayette's Rylan Roberts as she has come out swinging so far in 2026. Roberts had a busy week with performances at the Linn HS Open, Ken Asbury Invitational, and New Bloomfield Wildcat Invitational. She posted marks of 12.29 in the 100, 26.53 in the 200, 1:03.56 in the 400, 5.44m (17-10.25) in the long jump, and, most notably, a state-leading 11.39m (37-4.5) mark in the triple jump.
