The 2026 Missouri Track and Field Season is in full swing and stellar performances continue to flood our rankings database. All four seasons hit Missouri this week and significantly impacted the amount of results we were expecting this week (especially on a very rainy April Fool's Day). Week 2 was still chock full of strong performances - who do you think was the performer of the week?
Each Monday this season, we will be running a poll with five candidates for Performer of the Week that was, highlighting five athletes from around the state who did something amazing in the last seven days. Vote for who you think deserves the honor!
Polls open at 7:00am on Monday and remain open until 5:00pm on Friday. The athlete who wins will move to our end-of-the-season "Performer of the Year" poll and will not be nominated again for the weekly poll for the rest of the season. Athletes who were nominated and do not win will not be eligible to be nominated for one full week.
Congratulations to our recent poll winners:
Week Zero (3/19-3/21): Lincoln Herring - Blue Springs
Week 1 (3/23-3/29): Burke Schwentker - Blue Springs South

Here are this week's nominees:
Harrison Perkins - Lee's Summit West
Perkins won the 200 meter dash at Friday's Rusty Hodge Invitational in 21.79 and contributed a leg to their State record 4x200 meter relay of 1:24.56. He also ran a leg on their MO No. 1 4x100 meter relay which ran 41.31.
Kearney's Way continues to drop time in the 300 meter hurdles in the early part of the season. He is the overall state leader with a 38.40 personal best he posted at the Falcon Relays on Thursday. After finishing fourth last year, he will have some competition for the state title, but is establishing himself as a frontrunner already.
Bolinger had a major breakthrough in the shot put at Friday's Jock's Nitch/PSU Gorilla Relays. He pushed his personal record to 18.98m (62-3.25), over a meter better than his previous best of 17.84m (58-6.5) from earlier this season, and defeated Class 5's heavy preseason favorite Hayden Mays (Nixa) in the process. Bolinger entered the season at 16.83m (55-2.75).
Meeks had a significant breakthrough in the pole vault at Thursday's Carthage Invitational. His 4.60m (15-1.25) personal best is a foot and a half better than the mark with which he finished out the 2025 season 4.11m (13-6). Meeks is now second in Class 4, just behind Cape Girardeau Central's Kent Sheridan.
Hodgson became the second Class 1 boy to clear 2 meters this spring as he chases after Doak Wyatt and his 2.06m (6-9.25) personal best. Hodgson cleared exactly 2m (6-6.75) at the Ava Bears Invitational, two inches better than his previous best of 1.95m (6-4.75) at last year's Class 1 Sectional 1 meet.
