Missouri high school track and field athletes recorded several personal bests and school records during competition from April 20-25.
Jensen Lamb of Hickman High School jumped 1.60m (5-3) in the high jump, moving into a tie for #26 in MO. She ranks tied for third in MO among girls in the class of 2029. The mark improves on Lamb's previous best of 1.47m (4-9.75) and came at the CMAC Track and Field Championship on Saturday.
Adrian Hunter (Caruthersville) broke through with a 7.02m (23-0.25) long jump, jumping into the top 15 at #7 in the state. He now ranks #2 in MO among boys in the class of 2027. The mark improves on Hunter's previous best of 6.21m (20-4.25). Hunter won the event at Poplar Bluff Invitational last Monday.
Jack Cooper of Webster Groves High School ran 9:40.71 in the 3200m, moving up to #48 in MO. Cooper now ranks #2 in MO among boys in the class of 2029 with the 35-second PR. The performance came at the Tiger Town Invitational on Friday.
Logan Harmon of Whitfield ran a huge PR of 1:59.65 in the 800m, moving up to #66 in MO, and improving upon his previous best of 2:08.30. Harmon is now a top-10 sophomore in the state. He won the event at Metro League Championships on Thursday.
Caleigh Ermilio (Kirkwood High School) broke through with a 3.47m (11-4.5) pole vault, jumping into the top 15 at #11 in the state. The sophomore ranks #3 in MO among her class. The mark improves on Ermilio's previous best of 3.21m (10-6.25) and is now well ahead of the 2.4m (7-10.5) mark she set as a freshman. Ermilio won the event at the Dale Collier/Kirkwood Invitational on Saturday, defeating several athletes who were ranked well ahead of her in the state heading into the weekend.
Kendra Clark of Neosho High School ran 25.70 in the 200m, moving up to #41 in MO. That's a PR, down from 27.00. The performance is particularly notable because it surpasses Clark's previous best event-a 59.23 in the 400m-showing a new dimension to her abilities. Clark won the event at Bulldog Invitational on Friday.
