A win at your home meet and at Parkway Central. You must be pretty excited. What were your goals for your senior year and has you early season success changed them at all?

My main goal this year is to be top 10 as a team at the state meet, and to finish all-state individually. I'd also like to see how many meets we can win as a team.

A big team win over Parkway West, a Big River Running Company ranked team. Tell us about your team?

We went into the race knowing a win was going to be tough. A few of our guys got pushed over or spiked at the beginning, but we had some guys step it up which helped. Last year we lost to Parkway West and Parkway Central by a close margin, and this win was really close too; we only beat West by three points. But we are going to race them a couple more times this season so I'm excited to see what happens.

You raced at the USA XC Championships at Forest Park last winter. Tell us about that experience?

It was really fun to see all the proffesional athletes race, and it was also fun to run what felt like a normal highschool race in the middle of the winter. I plan to go back this winter.

Where do you race next?

Next week we will be racing at Hazelwood West.
