This has probably been asked before, but is there a reason that Wamego hosts 1A-2A-4A rather than 1A-2A-3A?

Wamego High School is 4A and is the host school.

We are a ways out, but next year could bring change depending on how the new classifications shake out. Wamego would most likely still be 4A, but if they happened to drop to 3A, then that could change which class is at which locations. Remember in 2018-19 they will increase the number of schools in 5A and 6A, but reduce 4A. 3A and 2A stays at same number of schools. 1A will increase. 36 schools in each 6A, 5A, & 4A. 64 teams in 3A and 2A. All the rest in 1A (115-ish)
