Meet Information

Coaches/ADs,

Thank you for entering the Joplin Middle School Invitational Track Meet scheduled for Tuesday, April 27th, 2021.  The meet will be held at Junge Stadium (800 W. Junge Blvd).  Field events are to begin at 4:00pm and running events at 4:30pm.   

Turf Rules

Water is the only drink allowed on the turf.  Please do not allow drinks of any kind such as soft drinks, sports drinks or energy drinks on the turf.  Also, no chewing tobacco, gum, sunflower seeds or candy.  No tape is allowed to be put or placed on the turf or track.  You may use chalk or tennis balls.  These rules apply to everyone, coaches and workers as well as the athletes.

Meet Information:

  • $150 entry fee for all 4 divisions.  $75 for 2 divisions.  Please mail you entry fee to:

  • There will be 2 participants allowed for each running event, and 1 relay team per division.

  • 2 entrees per field event, per division, 3 throws/jumps will be allowed per event.  1 hour to get done with field event.  If running, report to the field event, go run and get back.  

  • There will be no finals.  Heats will be against times with the fastest runners in the first heats.

  • Individual participants are limited to 4 events (3 running, 1 field).

  • All Weather track, 1/8 or 3/16 Pyramid spikes only.

  • Pole vault rules will be enforced.  Weight will be marked and handholds taped.  School Coaches must sign off on poles (No parents, spectators, or coaches not affiliated with a school).

  • Hospitality room for coaches, bus drivers, and workers located in the field house.  

  • Concession stand available for athletes.

  • Medals will be given for first 3 places in all events.

  • Scoring 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1.

  • If severe weather occurs - ALL ATHLETES WILL GO TO THE FIELD HOUSE LOCATED IN THE NORTHWEST CORNER.

  • Please assist us in cleaning the stands by having your athletes police their area before leaving.

  • Packets can be picked up after your team has finished their last race.

Entries: On MoMile

Limit 2 entries per event per grade level (4 events per individual) 1 relay team.  Please have all entries in no later than Monday, April 26th at 8:00 PM.  This should allow for last minute changes at practice the night before the meet!

 Event Order Field events will start at 4 p.m.  We are combining the long jump and triple jump with both 7th and 8th graders, so they will have a 2 hour time limit for long and triple jump.  All other field events until finished.

Pole Vault-  7G 8G / 7B 8B  (Girls - 7th/ /8th - 1.68m or 56) (Boys - 7th/8th - 1.83m or 6)

    Will move up by 15 cm.  In a tiebreaker we will drop back 6 cm.

High Jump- Infield-7th G/B, Main Pit -8B/G 

     (7G - 1.11m or 38, 7B- 1.32m or 44) (8B- 1.37m or46 , 8G 1.11m or 38)

    Will move up 5 cm.  In a tiebreaker we will drop back 3 cm.

    If it rains we will drop to one pit with the same opening heights.

            Rain order:    8B / 7B / 8G / 7G
