8. Garrett Becker - Steelville (Previous: N/R; Change: N/A)

7. Jerod Nolie - Bourbon (Previous: N/R; Change: N/A)

6. Jackson Conner - Liberty (Mountain View) (Previous: 8; Change: +2)

5. Nathan Frazee - Clark County (Previous: 4; Change: -1)

4. Kolin Overstreet - Lamar (Previous: 3; Change: -1)

3. Caleb Cornelius - Saxony Lutheran (Previous: 5; Change: +1)

Cornelius has shown great progression early in the season. His 16:36 at Arcadia Valley was a big win and was his second time at 16:40 or better on the season. That pushes him just ahead of Overstreet and Frazee for now.

2. Isaac Ashton - Tipton (Previous: 2; Change: 0)

Ashton had a phenomenal run at Vienna, but hasn't duplicated that success necessarily. His race at Fulton could have moved up, but there is still a lot of season left for him to improve on this rank. Regardless, he remains #2 to a very high quality runner in his own right.

1. Mark Venable - Lamar (Previous: 1; Change: 0)

Isaac Ashton turned some heads at Vienna, but hasn't gone under 17:00 otherwise. Venable, on the other hand, has run under 17:00 3 times and has yet to finish lower than 2nd this season -- his only loss has come to Stephen Kielhofner. Venable holds down the #1 spot as he is looking very strong and very consistent.

Teams

5. California (Previous: N/R; Change: N/A)

4. Fatima (Previous: 5; Change: +2)

3. New Bloomfield (Previous: N/R; Change: N/A)

2. Stockton (Previous: 2; Change; 0)

The Eagle Invite shook up Class 2 quite a bit and even though Stockton hasn't necessarily responded since then to some of the teams who have leapfrogged them in the database rankings, we are unfazed and maintain Stockton at the #2 spot.

1. Lamar (Previous: 1; Change: 0)

Lamar continues to dominate Class 2 and they show no signs of stopping any time soon. They are comfortably #1 right now.
