Like the boys, the girls throwing event accounted for most of the elite performances with three in discus, led by Smithville's Kali Brown (38.31 meters), followed by Staley's Katy Taylor and Lee's Summit Madison Mears at 38.26 each. In shot put, St. Teresa's Academy's Sanai Kintchen won in 12.54 meters, followed by Lee's Summit's Makenzie Luster at 11.56 meters. Liberty North's Kayley Lenger won the javelin with a heave of 42.98 meters. St. Teresa's Amelia Arrieta, a Villanova signee, had the only elite running performance on the girls in the 3,200, winning in 11:12.38.
