Preview
After a second place finish last year Trenton Bush returns the favorite in this event. He set a PR for the event, beating his best from State last year, running a 50.59 to win his conference meet. His two biggest competitors will be Devan Hughes and Denton Postlewait. Postlewait is Bush’s teammate and has finished second behind him at sectionals but took the district title. Liberty could score 18 points in this event but Penney’s Devan Hughes is looking strong as of late. He ran 50.64, the second fastest time in the Class, at districts and followed suit with vicotires in both the 200 and 400 at sectionals.
