This race is a battle between a great 100 runner and a great 400 runner. Nick Jones comes in as the top seed in the 100 (and 200) while Dominick Fleeks is the returning champ and top ranked Class 1 400 runner. The 200 will be a clash between the two with both running 22.7 at sectionals. Nick Jones ran 22.69 at Fatima which is the best in the rankings. However, a freshman could steal the show. Section 3 champ, John Swymeler, is a talented freshman from Tri-County that could dip under 23 seconds which isn’t far behind the others. Brendan Black returns from a third place finish last year and could also be in the hunt for the gold medal.
