Preview

Second as a freshman, state champ as a sophomore and now looking as strong as ever Dominick Fleeks is poised to keep his title.  His blistered a 50.45 at districts – looking smooth in the process.  He won the 400 easily at sectionals and enters state in three events. He is the only sub 51 runner but Anthony Williams and Nick Jones both have gone under 52.  Jones could pull off victories in the 100 and 200 and the 400 isn’t out of the realms of possibilities.  It would be a great story for someone to go from not competing to winning three titles in a year!  Williams just missed out on the final last year, finishing 9th and should be determined to not only make the finals but make his final trip to Jefferson City a memorable one.
