Preview
The top two jumpers come in nearly tied in the rankings. Michael Willbanks, second last year as a freshman, cleared 6-6.5, the top mark in Class 2. Sumner Foster, fifth last year, cleared 6-6 to win Sectional 1 this weekend. A senior, Foster is jumping is highest of the season at the right time. His mark from sectionals is two inches higher than his previous best and six inches better than his mark last year’s state meet.
