With the top three girls entering the State Meet with the same height and the next five girls only being two inches behind this event is a toss-up. The only one to clear 5-4 at sectionals was Megan Hooper of Palmyra. The only senior of the three also cleared 5-4 twice early in the season. She also hasn’t lost all year. The other two are Becca Buechter and Emma Dyer. Both came in second at Sectionals. Buechter was second last year only being Sydney Deeken who has now moved up to Class 3. One of the five girls to clear 5-2 is multi-talented Emily Dearman who won the 100H, 300H, and high jump at Sectional 3. She has a chance to win the hurdles, and isn’t out of the hunt to add a gold medal in the high jump.
