Last year this event really sealed the deal for Cleveland on the team side. Lamar false started, giving them 0 points. Cleveland won, giving them ten. The team totals came to Cleveland in 51 and Lamar in 50. Without the false start, even finishing last, Lamar would have tied Cleveland. This year both teams are back. Lamar looks to be much stronger on the team side but Cleveland NJROTC remains dominant in this event. Led by Michael Wells, who could be racking up more than just medals but also records, they look to defend their title. They come in with the fastest time, 43.20. Lamar looks for revenge as they can challenge Cleveland for the victory in this event. Their time of 43.72 is half a second back from the reigning champs.
