Preview
I think there are a number of strong contenders in this race. Tom Zeilman leads the charge after a second place finish in 2012. He posted a class leading 1:58.36 in early April. He will have to defeat Denton Postlewait if he wants to improve on his finish from last year. The Liberty star not only has the second best 800 time, but the third best 400 time. Also dipping under two this year is Ryan Beaver. After doing the 1600/3200 double the College Heights junior is trying his luck at the 800 and 1600. Some other names to watch out for are Deko Ricketts of Barstow and Clay Evans of Lathrop. Ricketts showed some speed pulling away from the 1600 field a year ago to get a gold medal in that event. Evans just missed breaking 2 minutes a month ago.
